Everybody Want Fucking Special Treatment

Screw equality and fairness, people just want to be treated better than the other guy. People might preach about equal rights, justice and tolerance but most of them are not out for those things. The ACLU, GLAD, NAACP, NOW and fucking NAMBLA are all groups manipulating the system for special treatment rather than working for equality. Some of these groups want things that they would deny others base on skin color while others want things they call rights that have never existed before in the World. They just want to screw over society and remodel it for their own benefit and special enjoyment.

I'd like special treatment too but there is no one to represent me but myself.

It’s so sad, if you are not gay, lazy, an addict or a full fledge criminal you have no representation. Normal people just get taxed like crazy to pay for the freaks of society.

I think you've all missed the point. Yes, the disadvantaged groups of this world that you listed do want a better life, but not necessarily one that far outstrips everyone else. They just want a more equal playing field, a society within which they can work and earn, without being hindered by persecution or intrapersonal physical/psychological/emotional difficulties.

For example, homosexuals. They don't want all heterosexuals subjugated to their whims and desires. They just wish to be left alone. Amnesty International reported in 2001 that in Iraq, homosexuality was punishable by death. That is hardly fair - imagine if heterosexuality became punishable by death. Of course, such a suggestion is laughable, especially considering heterosexuals outnumber homosexuals 10 to 1. No wonder homosexuals feel isolated from society.

Addicts and criminals - the majority at least - do not wish to continue their cursed livelihoods of drug abuse and/or a life of crime. They have merely been made bitter and cynical by a harsh society. It is a fact that, once within a state of material comfort, most people would eschew a criminal life, The Sopranos notwithstanding. Therefore, the United States Government utilises rehabilitation (well, to a small extent). Funding for rehabilitation, directed at criminals on parole or drug addicts, is often administered on the basis that these people will become hard-working, diligent and proud Americans. Is that not a sign of the triumph over adversity you as Americans would admire?

I don't see why these people are "freaks", just because their situation is one of plight. If you are so oppressed by these "freaks", ask yourself who dominates the media, culture, politics, entertainment and so on. And you might want to question the definition of the word "rights." Are they asking for the right to bomb the merry hell out of weaker countries, or just a right to be recognised as a member of society?

And of course you have representation, you're recognised US citizens, who pay their taxes and hope to benefit from that via federal or state-based expenditure (whether it's keeping your streets clean or funding your police forces).

I await your cat-calls of "socialist leftist liberal peacenik hippy asshole" with unbridled enthusiasm.
